walkable, but people get about easily with bicycles and golf carts.
Walkable retirement communities are an unreal idea. People with either young children
or physical handicaps still need to drive. Until
four years ago the Bee Ridge Extension area
residents had to drive to Cattleman Road to
shop. That has been partially solved, but some
residents opposed the shopping area.
Doesn't it say something for Sarasota 2050
when its advocates live in very urban areas?
It tells me it will not work as it is. Shred it and
let the property owners make the decisions
about their communities. We do not live in
the USSR or Commonwealth of Independent
States yet.
