Siesta Seen A SECOND MEETING ON THE SIESTA KEY ZONING OVERLAY DISTRICT'S PROVISIONS HAS BEEN SET FOR NOV. 12; ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND WELCOME SIGNS DO NOT MIX WELL; AND DEWATERING BEGINS AT THE STORMWATER SITE By Rachel Brown Hackney Editor For the second time in less than six months — and with help from other organizations — the Siesta Key Village Association will host a meeting for business owners and managers to educate them about the provisions of the Siesta Key Overlay District (SKOD), the county zoning ordinance that governs activities on Siesta Key. This time, however, the focus will be on outdoor merchandise displays, and the SKVA officers are encouraging all property owners as well as business owners to attend. The meeting will be held at 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 12 at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, located at 5615 Midnight Pass Road.
