The Church of the Redeemer in downtown Sarasota hosted a reception on Saturday night, Feb. 22, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of organist/choirmaster Ann Stephenson-Moe's working at the church, Redeemer announced. More than 200 people associated with the church and the community attended the event, a news release says. Stephenson-Moe leads Redeemer's music programs and several choirs, the release points out. Each year, she also "orchestrates a dynamic Great Music Series that brings world- class musicians and concerts to Sarasota," the release continues. Additionally, she serves as organist and music director at Temple Beth Israel on Longboat Key. Along with her late husband, Daniel, Stephenson-Moe co-founded Key Chorale, Sarasota's symphonic chorus, the release notes. She also co-founded, and performed as associate conductor and keyboardist for, Gloria Musicae. The Church of the Redeemer is located at 222 S.
