Dr. Charles Krauthammer, Pulitzer Prize- winning columnist, political commentator and physician, will open the Town Hall 2015 lecture series on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, the Ringling College Library Association (RCLA) has announced. He will be followed by Jon M. Huntsman Jr., former governor of Utah and ambassador to Singapore and China; Dan Buettner, explorer, educator and author; Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist; and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Somali- born American activist, politician and writer, who will be interviewed by Katty Kay, anchor of BBC World News America. Ben S. Bernanke, who recently completed two terms as chairman of the Federal Reserve, is billed as the "35th Year Speaker," highlighting 2015 as the 35th year RCLA has presented the Town Hall series. The date of the Platinum Appreciation Dinner and the speaker at that event will be announced in late fall. "Town Hall is recognized nationally as one of the premier lecture series," states Nancy Moran, Town Hall 2015 chairwoman, in the March 20 Town Hall program. She adds, "We are proud of ... supporting our remarkable art college, its [Verman Kimbrough Memorial] library and the many students who have gone on to become some of our nation's elite creators."
