Jumps in estimates of taxable property values for Sarasota County were among numerous pieces of good economic news for the County Commission on April 29 as staff reviewed the first half of the current fiscal year and looked ahead to FY 2015. "We've tried to be frugal," Harmer said. Vice Chairwoman Christine Robinson pointed to that as an example "of the leadership of this administration."
