LYONS TO BE HONORED The city's long-serving finance director, Chris Lyons, will be awarded the Florida Government Finance Officers Association's Lifetime Achievement Award on Monday evening. Lyons spent 26 years with the city, working up from the Accounting Department to be the city's top finance officer. He and his staff repeatedly won awards for best budget presentations and other accomplishments. Lyons served 18 years as a volunteer leader in the professional association. He retired from the city last year. % A map shows all the roundabouts planned along Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Image courtesy City of Sarasota Sarasota News Leader June 13, 2014 Page 56
