Only time will tell if "Noise Ordinance" fans will show up at the county's community meetings to make their complaints public, of course, but within the city limits, at least, some folks are paying attention. City Commis- sioner Paul Caragiulo said during a June meet- ing that the city should revisit its own noise regulations. The event will include the showing of a short documentary featuring actor Mickey Rooney and county professionals in aging, according to a news release. Subsequently, a panel of local experts involved in the prevention and prosecution of financial abuse will answer questions regarding how to avoid being a crime victim. "The panel will address common questions such as "Who are the perpetrators?" "How does exploitation happen?" and "Where can I go for help?" the news release says. "For many reasons, seniors are more vulner- able to exploitation from both professionals and from individuals close to them, including family," the news release says.
