The categories are as follows:
• Turtle Bale: (family or friends) — up to four members per team.
• Hatchlings: one or two children under 10 years of age. (Parents are permitted to coach from the sidelines.)
• Loggerheads: one or two children 11 to 17 years of age.

Although she joked about how little sleep she'd had in the previous week, Gaddie said on Nov. 2, "We have artists from all over the world and beautiful sand and they show us what they can do with it. … I'm very, very, very excited."
