"The weather was a little colder than we
would have liked to see it," Gaddie said.
However, the crowd was so thick, she added, that deputies did not need to block off
traffic along Canal Road leading to Ocean
Boulevard; the throng of people made that
unnecessary.
Light Up the Village is the biggest annual
event on the island sponsored by the Siesta
Key Village Association.
