Delaney as its chairman, the foundation has announced. Although Delaney was set to begin a term as chairman in July, he agreed to take the position early because Chairwoman Margaret Callihan left Sarasota for a major career opportunity with SunTrust Bank in Fort Lauderdale, a news release says. "The Community Foundation of Sarasota County is fortunate to have a leader of Phil Delaney's stature and reputation at the helm," says Community Foundation President and CEO Roxie Jerde in the release.
