Sarasota News Leader May 17, 2013 Page 98 Local groups benefitting from Temple Emanu-El's Mitzvah Day were the Salvation Army, SPARCC, Community Haven, Suncoast Communities Blood Bank, Jewish Family & Children's Service, A Million Thanks, Cat Depot, Honor Animal Sanctuary, Sarasota County Animal Shelter, Take Stock in Children, Manatee County Schools, Manatee County Department of Children and Families, Sarasota County Fire Department, Mothers Helping Mothers, Anchin Pavilion, Manasota BUDS and All Faiths Food Bank. Temple Emanu-El holds Mitzvah Day every spring. It welcomes suggestions for new community service projects and new charitable agencies with whom to partner, the release notes.
