the delegation that appeared before DEP last
week, he noted.
THE LAWSUIT
Last year, the Midnight Pass Society was one
of the plaintiffs in a revised federal lawsuit
filed in the effort to reopen the channel. The
defendants were Sarasota County, FDEP, the
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Com-
