ST. ARMANDS CIRCLE BIDS A
FORMAL WELCOME TO THE
HOLIDAY SEASON
Staff Reports
Standing several people deep in many
spots, a crowd gathered on St. Armands
Circle on the balmy night of Dec. 6 to
mark the shopping district's Holiday
Night of Lights.
With a performance by the Cuban
Ballet School, a carol sing-along,
the lighting of the St. Armands
Circle Christmas tree and — of
course — the arrival of Santa,
participants found plenty to delight the
eyes and ears.
The event also encouraged donations
of items to the U.S. Marine Corps'
Toys for Tots program and cans of
food to All Faiths Food Bank.
Staff Photographer Norman
Schimmel was on hand to capture the festivities. %
