The top woman finisher was Kaitlin Koplin,
29, with a time of 23:51:87.
According to the race results website,
1,887 completed the longer run. The event
started at the Van Wezel Performing Arts
Hall, north of the bridge on U.S. 41.
The competition is a fundraiser for the
Sarasota YMCA's family programs.

on the bridge and on Gulfstream Avenue to
capture faces in the crowd. %
Sarasota City Manager Tom Barwin is one of the thousands of competitors.
