The vote was unanimous on Jan. 28 when Commissioner Nora Patterson put forth a motion asking that County Commission Chairman Charles Hines write a letter to the Florida Department o f Tr a n s p o r t a t i o n ( F D O T ) r e q u e s t - i n g " p u b l i c participation and edu- cation" regarding the agency's plan to con- struct a roundabout at the intersection of Midnight Pass Road and Beach Road near Siesta Public Beach.
