A $100,000 award from the Selby Foundation will cover capital and equipment costs for 10 new Education Foundation Digital Learning Labs in Sarasota County this year, the release continues. Every lab will be designed to give students access to computers, the Internet and digital literacy training in a safe support- ive setting, the release adds. Each lab also will be designed to custom specifications with partner agencies to enhance youngsters' existing learning activities, promote success in school and prepare the students for college and careers, the release points out.
