The no right on red traffic issue at the inter-
section of Stickney Point Road and Midnight
Pass Road continues to vex county leaders and
Siesta Key residents, as evidenced this week
by discussions of the County Commission and
the Siesta Key Village Association (SKVA).
During the County Commission meeting
in Venice on March 4, Commissioner Nora
Patterson told her colleagues, "I'd really like
our staff to get involved with [the Florida
Department of Transportation (FDOT)] on
this. … It is going to create more of a problem."
