County Administrator Tom Harmer con- curred with Patterson, saying he would make sure the business plan comes back to the commissioners before they approve the con- struction contract. According to the timeline presented by staff on May 7, the county will vote in October on a construction contract with a Guaranteed Maximum Price. The project is expected to be completed in July 2015. Plans call for the con- struction of a new 8 - m e t e r r a m p f o r Supercross events and probably a 5-meter ramp, installation of electronic starting gates and new lighting, a redesign of the track, better site drainage and creation of a better location for bleachers in the future, accord- ing to the staff presentation. However, she pointed out, "the actual narrative of the financial plan is less than a page [showing] projected numbers without a whole lot of explanation as to how you get there … and assumptions."
