to repair damage from vandalism. Hours
for park are now 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Staffers
would like to change that schedule to 7 a.m.
to 8 p.m. to deter vandalism and illegitimate
use of the playground equipment.
Both the city's Parks, Recreation and
Environmental Protection Advisory Board
and the Alta Vista Neighborhood Association
endorsed the cutback in hours, which police
say will make it easier to control activity in
that part of the park.
The Tuesday workshop will start with the
annual report by county staff on stormwater
management in the city limits. Under a 1998
interlocal agreement, the county has sole
responsibility for stormwater.
