Patterson credited Schroeder-Manatee for going above and beyond the affordable housing requirements in 2050, which she said added greatly to the overall "attractiveness" of the proposal. Kevin Cooper, a vice president of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, noted that other communities are looking to Sarasota County's "village" developments as a "model" for the region.
