Image from Google Maps The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects in an armed robbery reported early on the morning of June 11, the office has announced. About 2:27 a.m. on June 11, patrol deputies responded to a report of an incident in the 2500 block of Mango Avenue in Sarasota, a news release says. The female victim had parked her vehicle at her residence and was walking to her front door when she was approached by two black men, one of whom was armed with a dark handgun, the release adds. One of the men told the victim to "give up the purse" and pointed the handgun at her, the report continues. SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN ARMED ROBBERY ON MANGO AVENUE After the victim complied, both suspects ran from the area, the release notes. Responding deputies set up a perimeter, and a K9 unit attempted to track the suspects but was unable to locate them, the release says. As of the morning of June 11, the only descrip- tions the Sheriff's Office could provide are that the suspects are a tall black man and a heavyset black man.
