The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested two men on drug charges after executing a search warrant in Nokomis on June 5, the office has announced. Deputies from the Special Investigation Section, Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Patrol Bureau, with the assistance of the SWAT team, executed a search warrant at 113 Avenida De La Isla in Nokomis on June 5, a news release says. The location was known as one where drug buys had taken place in the past, the release points out. Eddie Outing, 29, of 113 Avenida De La Isla, Unit B, Nokomis, was arrested on two counts Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Sell and Possession of Cannabis (Under 20 Grams). Deputies also arrested Ryan Duncan, 25, of 494 Patton St., Laurel, who was leaving the address when they arrived, the release con- tinues. He was charged on a warrant for Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). A search of the residence and Outing's per- son yielded approximately 10.6 grams of rock cocaine, 5.2 grams of cannabis and $3,192 in U.S. currency, the release adds. The money primarily was in denominations of $100 and $20, according to the report. Outing is a prolific offender with three prior felony convictions and multiple past arrests for crimes including Sale of Cocaine, Drug Possession, Burglary and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, the release adds.
