Rob Alfieri, who owns SUP Sarasota, took the opportunity during the public comments portion of the board's afternoon session Wednesday to plead for approval of a six-month pilot program. He pointed out that he had been working on the proposal for the past 18 months with Warren LaBonte, who holds the Siesta Public Beach concession contract with the county, and county staff.
