An organization could apply for up to $350,000 per year or $700,000 spread over two years. The funding cycle would be two years, Haley noted. To be eligible, the resulting capital project would have to be open to the public and located in Sarasota County. It would also have to be publicly owned and operated and fall into one of the following categories: convention center, sports stadium, sports arena, coliseum or auditorium.
