The plan noted that all of the businesses utilizing those spaces in the daytime close at 5 p.m., and the restaurant does not open until after they close. However, the Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate office on the corner of Avenida Madera and Ocean Boulevard actually stays open until 8:30 p.m. seven nights a week. After months of trying to work out a solution, Smith told me this week he feels he has one. He and Brad Bailey, the county zoning administrator, are scheduled to meet on Dec. 20 to go over the details. "I'm hopeful that this will finally be resolved," Smith said on Dec. 17.
