Control Growth Now President Dan Lobeck cited that open-mind- e d n e s s w h e n h e described how "easy" it was to select Reid as his organization's Citizen of the Year. Reid, fired by the County Commission last October after less than two years on the job, was an administrator "for all the people of our com- munity," Lobeck said in his introductory remarks, and "he listened to all concerned voices." Developers felt they could work with him, as did citizens' interest groups, Lobeck argued.
