Weeks, 24, of Tampa, was charged with Vehicular Homicide, Burglary, two counts of Battery, Petit Theft and Obstruction in connection with a crash that cost a Sarasota woman her life early on the morning of Saturday, April 19, in Sarasota, the Sarasota Police Department has reported. Just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Police Department were dispatched to a report of a domestic situation and burglary at a home in the 1700 block of 29th Street 62-YEAR-OLD WOMAN KILLED BY DRIVER FLEEING CRIME SCENE in Sarasota, a news release says. The offi- cers learned from Donta Carswell Jr., 24, of 1719 29th St., Sarasota, that Weeks was upset because he had broken up with her and he had begun dating another woman, according to the report. He was lying facedown on the ground in front of his home when the officers arrived, the report notes.
