Commissioner Nora Patterson called the
plans "diametrically" opposed.
"It's amazing how they are so different,"
Blucher said, adding that he'd "love to take
pieces from both of them. But we'll see where
that goes."
Both boards eventually voted unanimously
to select Jebco and National as their top two
choices, a rare show of common feeling in a
process that has dragged on for years. The
two competing plans will be discussed in
greater depth at another joint meeting, to be
held in Venice on June 24. %
