Sarasota News Leader October 12, 2012 After serving as the acting deputy chief for operations in Arlington, she became the dep- uty chief of police of Richmond, VA, in 2011, overseeing an $82 million budget (the largest budget overseen by any of the applicants). She holds two master's degrees — in business administration and public administration. In Richmond, she works with a faith-based advisory board, and in Arlington County, she worked with a civilian advisory board. She is 46 and drives a stylish BMW 6-series convert- ible. Vincent is not a veteran. THE BRIDESMAID Mark Teunis is trying very hard to get out of Clearwater, where he is a major with that city's police department. He was a finalist last year — with Terry Lewis (former acting city manager of Sarasota) — for the job of police chief in Venice. Teunis also was a finalist in August for the chief's job in Kissimmee. He has more than 29 years of experience in Clearwater, but none with a civilian review panel. He has a master's degree in business administration and is responsible for his de- partment's $36.4 million budget.
