"One of Shakespeare's best-known comedies, full of music, laughter and the high drama of young love, this production stars the entire sec- ond-year student class of the FSU/Asolo Con- servatory for Actor Training," a news release says. "Twelfth Night is Shakespeare's greatest com- edy as far as I'm concerned," says Greg Leam- ing, director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory and director of this production, in the news release. "It's so full of humanity, life and, like all really great comedies, a certain amount of pain." Leaming adds that the production "is perfect" for the second-year Conservatory students. "It's about misplaced love and overindulgence of every kind — from alcohol to passion. And it involves truly desperate characters — the perfect soup for a company of young actors," he says. "We're taking a very contemporary approach that will be accessible to everyone, but I'm sure it won't lose one bit of Shake- speare's heart, and of course, his sense of hu- mor." Tickets are $29 for evening performances; $28 for matinees. Students receive a 50% discount with an advance ticket purchase. Tickets may be purchased at the Asolo Reper- tory Co.'s box office at the FSU Center for Per- forming Arts; for information, call 351-8000.
