Supporters of It's Time Sarasota 2014, the campaign to revise the City of Sarasota's char- ter, will have a booth at the Sarasota County Fair March 14-23 to seek signatures on their petition and to educate the public about their initiative, the group has announced. Representatives will be at Booth 124 in Robarts Arena at the county fairgrounds on Fruitville Road, providing many residents their first opportunity to learn about the spe- cific charter changes being proposed, a news release says. Fair-goers will be able to read the proposed charter, watch a short video "and speak with our friendly, knowledgeable volunteers," the release adds. Those who are registered to vote in the city also may sign the petition seeking to place the charter initiative on the November ballot, the release notes.
