The Green Committee of Temple Emanu-El, located at 151 McIntosh Road in Sarasota, invites members of the community to a free Energy Upgrade Workshop on Sunday, March 30, at 12:30 p.m. Focused on saving energy, water and money by making environmentally sound decisions in the home, the workshop will be presented by representatives of Sarasota County, a news release says. It will explore cost-saving strategies, considerations in selecting con- tractors, do-it-yourself opportunities and incentives that might be available, the release adds. Attendees will receive free Do-It-Yourself Energy Saving Kits that include compact flu- orescent light bulbs, faucet aerators, a smart power strip, rope caulk and outlet-insulating gaskets, the release notes.
