INTERACTIVE CRIME MAPPING TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE
Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight has announced that a new mobile version of the interactive crime mapping program is available on
the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website.
The technology provided through a partnership with Crimemapping.comâ„¢ makes it easier for residents to view current incidents in
unincorporated Sarasota County, a news release says. The Sheriff's Office has made the
web-based tool available since 2011, it notes.
Information is updated daily and can be filtered by different crime types or viewed within a chosen radius of a desired address.
