I n t h e m e a n t i m e , A s s i s t a n t C o u n t y Administrator Mark Cunningham notified the County Commission that staff "will be pursu- ing code enforcement [action] against Bob's Boathouse based on the Notice of Violation." As the News Leader reported in its Feb. 7 issue, Sarasota County refused to provide a fourth Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) to Bob's Boathouse when the third one expired on Jan. 30. If the punch list items have not been com- pleted by Feb. 20, Preisser pointed out last week, the county will issue an Affidavit of Violation, which will result in the parties appearing before a Code Enforcement Special Magistrate. According to a document prepared by county Code Enforcement Officer Kevin Burns, the Special Magistrate can impose penalties up to $250 per day for each day a violation exists An engineering drawing shows the location of Bob's Boathouse at the rear of a site formerly occupied by a car dealership on South Tamiami Trail.
