Late on Feb. 6, the attorney for Bob's Boathouse cancelled an emergency hearing that had been set for Feb. 11 in 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Sarasota. The attorney had filed a motion seeking an injunction to force the county to grant another Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) while the owners worked to complete a "punch list" of items the county issued the business. County spokesman Curt Preisser told The Sarasota News Leader on Feb. 7 that the indi- cation from the attorney, James "Dusty" Aker, was that sufficient progress was being made on the punch list that the hearing no longer was necessary.
