The photographs are printed, matted and framed with archival quality materials for the permanent installation.
On Nov. 8, 1908, Sarasota almost went up in smoke. FIre broke out in the Bay View Hotel at the northwest corner of Main and Palm. With no firefighting equipment, there was little resi- dents could do except watch the building burn and hope the blaze didn't spread. Soon a volun- teer fire department was formed.
