the release points out. "A bone sample will
determine where someone lived in the last
seven to ten years before they died. Hair pro-
vides information about where the person
lived in the few months prior to death," the
release says. All of this information will be
synthesized by staff at the University of South
Florida with the hope of determining what
region of the country she was from and where
she lived in her final years, to further assist
efforts to identify her, the release explains.
Detectives and crime scene investigators
have used many resources to try to identify
this woman for the past seven years to no
avail, the release notes. Her DNA profile is in
the CODIS database, and her dental profile
is in the National Crime Information Center/
Florida Crime Information Center database,
the release points out. An earlier sketch based
on FBI facial reconstruction has been distrib-
uted internationally, and her information is in
state and national missing persons databases
and websites, it adds.
