Another woman wrote Commissioner Nora Patterson at 3:20 p.m. Sunday to say she had planned to go out on her lanai to read in the sun, but she was unable to do so: "TOO MUCH NOISE!!!" the woman added. A husband and wife on Lusitania Drive — just east of the rear part of the restaurant property — emailed the commissioners at 8:56 a.m. on Feb. 2 to say they could hear the music all the previous afternoon and into the evening. They added, "When we go for a walk in our neighborhood, the music can be heard all the way from Constitution [Avenue] to American Drive, not to mention it is EXTREMELY loud on Montclair Drive." At least one positive event has occurred in recent days, according to Michelle Lee, a McNair Drive resident. She told the News Leader on Feb. 5 that she had noticed the sign in front of Bob's Boathouse is advertis- ing music until midnight instead of 2 a.m., as it previously had. Lee added that she also had noticed DJs being listed only once in a while, whereas the restaurant used to feature bands performing most nights of the week.
