Sarasota County Parks and Recreation's
Sunrise Beach Walks began again Feb. 5 on
the Siesta and Nokomis beaches, the county
has announced.
Every Wednesday through the end of March,
residents and visitors are invited to join in
these community walks along the shore. After
a walker has participated in four Sunrise
Beach Walks, he or she will earn an event
T-shirt, a news release notes.
There is a one-time $1 registration fee to par-
ticipate. Registration and check-in is from 8
to 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Each walker
will receive a punch card, the release adds.
Check-in at Siesta Public Beach will be near
the main concession area at the pavilion.
Check-in at Nokomis Beach will be located
near the beach plaza classroom.
