The Historical Society of Sarasota County will host its 23rd Cruise and Tour of Sarasota Bay on the LeBarge on Sunday, March 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the organization has announced. The cruise will feature narration by Harold Bubil, real estate editor of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and a Sarasotan for the past 56 years, a news release says. "He will focus on waterfront real estate history, famous homes, what's for sale, construction issues, flood zones, dredging and filling and related yam- mering!" the release adds. A complimentary continental breakfast buffet with coffee will be provided, along with a cash bar. "The cruise tour has been a favorite outing for residents as well as tourists who want to learn more about the interesting adventures of Sarasota's early settlers and the characters who helped make Sarasota the vibrant, cul- tural city that it is today," the release explains. Tickets are $40 per person. A $50 VIP pass provides early boarding privileges and a complimentary beverage from the bar (lim- ited to beer, wine, soda and bottled water), the release notes. Reservations are limited; they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
